Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Valley Center, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; for paving for a educational facility; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The Project consists of the site work required for the installation of 1-new portable classroom building as identified in the PC drawings. Additional scope includes site ADA improvements. The Project shall comply with Title 24, Parts 1-6, and 9. A copy of Title 24, Parts 1-5 must be kept on site at all times during construction. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Governing Board of the Valley Center-Pauma Unified School District ("DISTRICT") is inviting qualified and experienced contractors to submit sealed bids for the project described below: BID 2024-25-02 VALLEY CENTER PRIMARY SCHOOL PORTABLE BUILDING Bids must be delivered to the DISTRICT at the following location: 28751 Cole Grade Road, Valley Center, CA 92082, and shall be labeled BID 2024-25-02 VALLEY CENTER PRIMARY SCHOOL PORTABLE BID, Attention: Lauren Holt. Bid will be awarded at the February 13, 2025 board meeting and not publicly read aloud. A summary will be emailed to bidders and also posted to vcpusd.org on February 14, 2025. The Project consists of the site work required for the installation of 1-new portable classroom building as identified in the PC drawings. Additional scope includes site ADA improvements. The Project shall comply with Title 24, Parts 1-6, and 9. The class of California contractor's license required in order to bid on and perform the contract for this Project is: B- GENERAL BUILDING PREVAILING WAGES: Pursuant to Labor Code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1, all contractors and subcontractors that wish to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, or enter into a contract to perform public work must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. No bid will be accepted, nor any contract entered into without proof of the contractor's and subcontractors' current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations to perform public work. If awarded a Contract, the Bidder, and its subcontractors, of any tier, shall maintain active registration with the Department of Industrial Relations for the duration of the Project. This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. In bidding on this project, it shall be the Bidder's sole responsibility to evaluate and include the cost of complying with all labor compliance requirements under this contract and applicable law in its bid. Wage rates can be found at the California Department of Industrial Relations web site. Each bid must be submitted with a bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid amount as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the proposed contract, if awarded to the bidder, and will provide the payment bond, insurance certificates and other documents described in the Contract Documents. Such security must be in one of the following forms: (1) a cashier's check made payable to the District; (2) a certified check made payable to the District; or (3) a bond made payable to the District in the form set forth in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder will be required to provide a payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) pf the project(s) total. The forms of the bonds are set forth in the Contract Documents and all bonds must be issued by a California-admitted surety as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120. The awarded bidder will also need to provide a payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the project total before the work begins. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding.
