Renovation of a municipal facility in Jackson, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
A certified check or bank draft, payable to Jackson Energy Authority, U.S. Government bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Jackson Energy Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding whenever such rejection or waiver is in the interest of the Owner. The undersigned Bidder proposes and agrees hereby to commence the Work of the Contract Documents on a date specified in a written Notice to Proceed to be issued by Architect, and shall fully complete the Work within 240 calendar days. Liquidated Damages: As actual damages for any delay in completion are impossible of determination, the Contractor and his sureties shall be liable for and shall pay to Jackson Energy Authority the sum of $750.00 fixed, agreed, and liquidated damages for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed and accepted.
