Renovation of a residential development in Luverne, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder in accordance with the rules, regulations and polices of the Luverne Housing Authority, hereinafter called "Housing Authority", and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Only Contractors who are properly licensed in accordance with criteria established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors under Provisiono f Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended,will be considered for bidding the work Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. No bid may be withdrawn after scheduled closing for receipt of bids for a period of ninety (90)days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. A certified check or Bid Bond payable to the Luverne Housing Authority in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, must accompany the bidder's proposal. Performance and statutory labor and material payment bonds will be required at the signing of the Contract and the costs of the bonds shall be included in the Contractors Proposal. All RFIs and RFAs regarding thebid documents shall be sent and addressed through emails found on the RFI and RFA forms in the project manual. NOTE: ONLY THE RFI AND RFA FORMS IN THE PROJECT MANUAL WILL BE ACCEPTED. The Architect will not accept inquiries via telephone or fax. Completion Time: See scopeof work in Project Manual.
