Site work and new construction of a day care center in New Britain, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the construction of a day care center; and for site work for a day care center.
Location New Britain, Connecticut (25% of the work with DAS certified Small and Minority owned businesses and 25% of that work with DAS certified Minority, Women and/or Disabled owned businesses.) A. The Project consists of conversion of existing handball and racquetball in an existing occupied structure to provide for a new Child Care Facility for the New Britain YMCA. The existing facility is located at 50 High Street, New Britain, CT, as shown and described on Contract Documents prepared by Jacunski Humes Architects, LLC, Berlin, CT B. The Work consists of some sitework and new interior construction to support access to the converted areas of the facility. New construction for the proposed Child Care Facility includes non-combustible construction to provide program space. C. Interior to the existing YMCA building includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, cutting and patching, interior casework, and new interior finishes, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. D. The General Contractor is advised that the site is an occupied property and that the YMCA will be conducting their normal activities adjacent to the improvement area of the project site and facilities. The Owner shall coordinate all necessary site activities with, and through, the General Contractor.
