Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Davie, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

The Town of Davie, Florida invites qualified bidders to submit responses in accordance with the requirements stated herein, for ITB# MP-25-08 Roof Replacement - Linear Park Pavilions #13, #12 & #2. PURPOSE The purpose of this ITB is to secure the lowest contract price per location from qualified contractor(s) to provide material and labor to remove and reinstall a new architectural cedar shake shingle roof system at the following locations: Linear Park- Pavilion #13 Roof, located at Orange Drive (west of SW 142 Avenue), Davie, FL 33325, see location map, Exhibit B. Linear Park- Pavilion #12 Roof, located at Orange Drive (between Flamingo Road and SW 121 Avenue), Davie, FL 33330, see location map, Exhibit C. Linear Park- Pavilion #2 Roof, located at Orange Drive ( between SW 57 Terrace and SW 59 Avenue) Davie, FL 33330, Exhibit D The pavilions are located within the municipal boundaries of the Town of Davie. SCOPE OF WORK Contractor(s) will obtain required building permits and furnish all labor, materials, and tools necessary to perform the following tasks: Pitched Roof: Demolish the existing roof material down to the existing 2"x6" tongue and groove deck. Contractor shall not remove more roof material than what can be replaced in one day and shall ensure that the roof is watertight at the end of each day. Remove and dispose of all debris to a facility with the capacity to handle such material. Secure the existing tongue and groove deck by re-nailing it in accordance with the current building code. Prior to installing the 30lb roof felt the contractor and Town Staff shall inspect the roof for any potential unforeseen water damage and agree on an amount to be repaired using the included material allowance. Install a single ply of 30 lb roof felt and tin caps in accordance with the current building code. Install cold applied, self-adhering 40 lb waterproof membrane composed of polyethylene film coated on one side with rubberized asphalt adhesive. Fabricate and install new flashing at all roof penetrations. Fabricate and install new 3"x3" 24ga drip edge. Install lightweight, synthetic shakes with the appearance, color, texture, and thickness of natural wood shakes. The product shall be a multi-width shake of engineered polymer formulated from 100% virgin polyurethanes as manufactured by CeDUR. Shakes shall be solid polyurethane manufactured in a rectangular shape with exposed to view upper surface and edges textures to resemble natural wood shake. Provide color samples for selection by Town staff to match the existing shakes onsite. Starter shingles shall be a minimum 15"x15". The Contractor(s) shall visit the sites to familiarize themselves and take necessary field dimensions. All work shall be performed in compliance with the latest edition of all applicable Codes, including, but not limited to, the Florida Building Code (2023 Edition), the Town of Davie Land Development Code, the Town of Davie Code of Ordinances, and the Broward County Code of Ordinances. All work shall meet or exceed the standards of the industry for workmanship. Pursuant to Town Code Section No. 2-320, a Cone of Silence is hereby imposed on this solicitation. The cone shall be in effect until such time of award by the Town Administrator or the Town Mayor and Council. Question Deadline 01/16/2025 at 5:00 PM ET Questions regarding this solicitation shall be submitted in the project Q&A section. Responses to those questions considered material to the solicitation will be made available in a formal addendum issued to this project. It is the responsibility of prospective bidders to ensure they are aware of all addenda issued relative to this solicitation. The selection of the successful bidder(s) shall be at the Town's discretion and shall be made in a prompt manner after the receipt and evaluation of all ITB responses. The Town of Davie reserves the right to reject any and all submissions, to waive any and all irregularities in any submission, and to make awards in the best interest of the Town. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all Bids prior to award. Reasonable efforts will be made to either award the contract or reject all Bids within one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days after the proposal opening date. AWARD OF BID The Review Committee or Department will make a recommendation based upon the lowest responsive and responsible bidder whose bid conforms to the Invitation for Bids and is most advantageous to the Town. If lowest bidder fails to comply, then the second will be called upon, and so on. The Town reserves the right to accept and award item by item, and/or by group, or in the aggregate, unless the bidder qualifies his bid by specified limitations. One or more Contractors may be designated as approved Primary or Secondary Vendor(s) for the delivery of material and/or services from this contract through the effective period of the award. In any situation where obtaining services from the Primary Vendor(s) is not in the best interest of the Town, or the vendor cannot deliver material and/or services within 24 hours of date required, or on an emergency basis, staff may obtain services from the Secondary Vendor(s). Successful Bidder shall be notified in writing of award. Delivery of materials and/or services shall be performed upon receipt by successful bidder of a numbered, signed purchase order or placement of order by a Town authorized representative. In the event that the awarded vendor(s) is unable to perform as required, the Town reserves the right to award to the next lowest, responsive, responsible vendor(s). No work will be paid for until all work has been inspected and approved by the Town of Davie. Time is of the essence and $50 a day liquidated damages may be assessed for every calendar day the project is late. The Contractor will have forty-five (45) days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP) to achieve substantial completion and sixty (60) days to achieve final completion. The total budget for this project is $60,000
