Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following 1. Construction of a riverwalk along the Kinnickinnic River in Milwaukee, including site preparation and demolition, erosion and sedimentation control, sheet pile wall modifications, pile supported decking and walkway areas, gangway and floating dock, restroom building, stone outcroppings, pre-cast seat walls, site furnishings, art and signage, earthworks, grading, paving, site utilities including storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water, electrical, lighting, storm water management facilities, and habitat enhacements, landscaping and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. Architectural elements are as follows a. Occupiable structure is a modified intermodal shipping container. Modifications require a delegated designer for structural integrity and fabrication. Architectural drawings show design intent. Delegated design shall be coordinated with canopy structure and construction sequencing. Refer to Section 013573 for Delegated Design requirements. 1) Canopy includes foundation, structural steel, roofing / cladding 2) Interior Buildout includes interior finishes, equipment, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical. A custom built kayak storage rack shall be coordinated with the intermodal shipping container design. 3) Performance area includes a swinging gate and performance lighting. The gate requires a delegated designer for structural integrity and fabrication. Architectural drawings show design intent. Refer to section 013573 for Delegated Design requirements. Deadline for questions regarding the Formal Bid are due by 4:45 p.m. on January 28, 2025 Harbor District Riverwalk - North portion Located at: 615 E Greenfield Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53204 Time for Completion: July 1, 2026 Liquidated Damages, per diem: will be calculated as per section 108.11 of WisDOT Standard Specifications The residency requirement for this project is 40% of all hours worked on the project. One quarter of these hours must be attributable to residents living in the following zip codes: 53204, 53205, 53206, 53208, 53210, 53215, 53233 The DBE Goal for this project is 25% of the contract base bid. The Commitment to Subcontract to DBE Form DT1506 along with Attachment A, shall be submitted with the bid and is an element of bid responsiveness. Form DT1202 is due within 24 hours of bid opening, if applicable. Incomplete or inaccurate DBE Forms will not be accepted and will render the bid nonresponsive. For a complete listing of DBE firms, see State of Wisconsin DOT's Unified Certification Program (UCP) list online. The apprenticeship requirements for this project are: 3 in total from at least 3 different trades. If this contract is awarded at $500,000 or higher, 25% of all apprentice labor hours must be worked by apprentices certified for participation in the Residents Preference Program and 40% of all apprentice labor hours must be attributed to apprentices living in the following zip codes: 53204, 53205, 53206, 53208, 53210, 53215, 53233 Questions regarding this Bid should be addressed to Celeste Jantz in writing via email at: cejantz@milwaukee.gov. Deadline for questions regarding the Formal Bid are due by 4:45 p.m. on January 28, 2025. Any additional information and/or clarification(s) regarding this Bid will be issued in the form of an addendum to this Bid on or before January 31, 2025. The contractor shall specifically note the DBE, residency, and apprenticeship forms for this project. If the forms are not filled out properly, it will be cause for rejection of the bid. Bid Security Required: Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Cash to accompany bid: 10% of the Contractor's Base Bid. For those bids being submitted through online and using a manual Bond, the contractor may send a signed/executed copy of the bid bond to the Department of Public Works Contract Office by emailing DPWbids@milwaukee.gov. The original bid bond document must then be submitted by the contractor to the Department of Public Works Contract Office in-person or by mail to 841 N Broadway, Rm. 506, Milwaukee, WI 53202, within 24 hours upon being notified that they are the apparent low bidder. All Contractors awarded a contract valued at $25,000.00 or more are required to participate in training on the City of Milwaukee's B2GNow contract compliance software within 30 days of the contract award date. Throughout the contract term, Contractors are required to regularly provide timely subcontractor payment information in the City's contract compliance software. Please contact the Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) at 414-286-5553 should you have any questions or concerns regarding the training or reporting process. The Prime Contractor awarded this project is required to participate in training on the City of Milwaukee's Labor Compliance Reporting (LCR) software after the date of contract award. Throughout the contract term, Contractors are required to regularly provide timely payroll information via LCR.
