Site work for a water / sewer project in Great Neck, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The purpose of the project is to replace approximately 19,000 linear feet of asbestos cement water main with new 8" and 12" C.L.D.I. water main including new valves and hydrants. Water services will be reconnected to the new water main and new copper extended to new curbstops. The existing asbestos cement main will be abandoned in place with all abandoned main capped, all valves closed, and all valve boxes removed. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the W ater Authority of Great Neck North, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Owner, is in the best interests of the Owner.
