The proposed 2025 Municipal Improvements Project is a major comprehensive infrastructure upgrade within the City of Dunn Center. The overall intent of the project is to convert twenty-seven (27) city blocks to modern vehicle and pedestrian corridors from the ad hoc roadway and drainage that currently exists. Potable water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer improvements are also included in the overall upgrade. Potable water improvements include the removal of existing PVC water main, and the installation of new PVC water main, fire hydrant assemblies, and new water service connections tying into the new water main and existing water service reconnections. Sanitary sewer improvements include the removal of existing clay pipe, and installation of new PVC sewer main and manholes. Storm sewer improvements include the removal of existing CMP culverts, the installation of PVC storm sewer pipe, manholes, and inlet structures. Street improvements include asphalt paving, curb and gutter, sidewalk, and street lighting improvements. Ancillary work includes removing existing pavement, preparing new street base and sub-base, tying to existing mains, erosion control and site stabilization - along with other incidental and miscellaneous improvements and provisions as defined in the contract documents.
