The Project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials, and performing all work necessary for construction and installation of the following: approximately 4,300 linear feet of 1.5-inch PVC water line; one water supply well and appurtenances; metering structure; disinfection equipment; three septic tanks and absorption fields; miscellaneous appurtenances; and all other work and appurtenances necessary to complete the construction items as shown on the plans and specified herein. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Bidding Documents also may be examined at City Hall, Greensburg, Kansas. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, payable to the Owner. The bidder to whom a Contract for work is awarded will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond and Statutory Bond executed on the specified forms and acceptable to the Owner, in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Selection shall be based on price and the character, integrity, reputation, judgment and experience of the Contractor for the type of work to be performed. If the Contractor cannot demonstrate the above qualities to the satisfaction of the Owner, their bid could be rejected. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. Question Deadline 02/04/2025
