Pressure wash and clean all surfaces to be finished, sand all wood surfaces to remove loose coating, power sand rotted rafter tail ends, patch and repair wood using wood filler, spot stain bare areas to blend with existing stain, handrails to be striped of existing coating and restained apply urethane coatings. Front and rear deck floors apply mold/mildew solution, power wash clean, power sand deck and apply deck stain coats. 1. The contractor is to repair and finish all exterior wood surfaces at the Jack Russell Memorial Library. 2. The contractor is to restore and finish the wood rafter tails, columns, fascia, soffit, decorative wood columns, supports and wood pergolas. The specific work for these wood surfaces includes: a. Pressure wash all surfaces to be finished. b. Sand all wood surfaces to remove loose coating/power sand rotted rafter tail ends. c. Patch and repair wood using wood filler. Abatron Liquid Wood or Wood Epoxy or equivalent. d. Spot stain bare areas to blend with existing stain. All colors to match. e. Apply two coats of Cabot's Satin Spar Urethane. Note: When working over grass areas with lifts, plywood is to be used under the lift tires. Damages to the landscape will be the contractor's responsibility for repair. 3. The contractor is to refinish the front and rear wooden handrails. a. Strip handrail of existing coating. b. Re-stain handrail c. Apply three coats (3) of Cabot's Satin Spar Urethane. Sand between coats. All colors to match. 4. The contractor is to refinish the front and rear deck floors. a. Apply mold/mildew solution. b. Power wash and clean. c. Power sand decks. d. Apply three (3) coats of Cabot Solid deck stain. All colors to match. 5. Measurements and quantities. It is the contractor's responsibility to measure and determine the total square footage/lineal feet of wood surfaces and the product quantities necessary to complete the specified work. 6. Approvals
