The Putnam County Board of County Commissioners is requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors for Guardrail Repair 2025. The work shall consist of, but not be limited to replacement of guardrail panels, posts, reflective sheeting, barrier delineators, and end treatments as well as realignment of guardrail posts and end treatments at 42 locations throughout Putnam County. Guardrail repairs are to be to current FDOT standard and my require transitioning to match the height of existing guardrail. Ancillary activities includes traffic control program, grading and dressing disturbed shoulders, miscellaneous asphalt, delineators, and other incidentals necessary to complete the work. Answers to questions received will be posted online with the bid documents. Questions must be received at least 7 days prior to bid opening. Question Deadline 02/03/2025 at 2:00 PM ET Written questions due by submit via email leigh.doran@putnam-fl.gov This bid requires a payment and performance bond by any Contractor awarded work. Putnam County BOCC has the option and reserves the right to extend the contract beyond the initial contract term of March 11, 2025 - December 22, 2025 by mutual consent of the parties. Tentative Contract Term: March 11, 2025 - December 22, 2025 Each Bid Must Be Accompanied by a Bid Bond Payable to the County for Five Percent (5%) of the Total Amount of the Bid. As Soon as the Bid Prices Have Been Compared, the County Will Return the Bonds of All Except the Three Lowest Responsible Bidders. When the Agreement is Executed, the Bonds of the Two Remaining Unsuccessful Bidders Will Be Returned. The Bid Bond of the Successful Bidder Will Be Retained Until the Payment Bond and the Performance Bond Have Been Executed and Approved, After Which It Will Be Returned. A Certified Check May Be Used in Lieu of a Bid Bond. The Putnam County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities.
