The Lyons Township High School will receive sealed bids for Lyons Township High School 2025 Asbestos Abatement Bidding Documents have been prepared and will be administered by Analytical Design Group, Springfield, Illinois. Work will start June 9 and be phased through June. The work includes the following: oBase Bid - South Campus - o Glovebag work at four bathrooms as identified on drawings. GC will open chase walls, Abatement Contractor (AAC) will set up mini-containments, abate, area will be cleared and AAC will take down containments. Work includes a 2-story stack between 2 restrooms and glovebag work in the tunnels below at connections and 2 either side on mains. oRemoval of exterior doors, frames and sealant at multiple locations as identified on the drawings. o Base Bid - North Campus - oGlovebag work at four bathrooms as identified on drawings. GC will open chase walls, Abatement Contractor (AAC) will set up mini-containments, abate, area will be cleared and AAC will take down containments. Work includes a 3-story stack between 3 restrooms. oRemoval of exterior doors, frames and sealant at multiple locations as identified on the drawings. Doors are located in the Vaughn Building. o Duct and Pipe insulation removal in the attic. Scope includes gross removal of all ACM duct and pipe insulation in the attic area designated on the drawings. All Bidders are advised that the law concerning prevailing wage rates must be complied with. Prevailing wage rates have been determined and are on file at the office of the State of Illinois, Department of Labor or on their website. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check or cashiers check in the amount of 5% of the bid made payable to Lyons Township High School. Failure of bidder to submit bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in amount to cover proposals bid upon is cause for rejection of bid Successful Bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each equal to 100 percent of the contract price on prescribed forms within 5 days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner.Surety on bonds shall be by duly authorized company acceptable to the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted.
