Proposed Scope of Work: The proposed scope of Work for professional design services may include but not be limited to the following: Renovations to the Existing Food and Drug Lab Building within the Richard Beard Building Complex. The existing building is roughly 7,900 square feet and will be considered Type III-Renovation. Scope may include but not be limited to Programming, Cost Estimating, Laboratory design, existing office renovations, etc. The Construction Budget is roughly set at Two Million seven hundred fifty thousand Dollars ($2,750,000). The term of the agreement will be for 2 years with an option to renew for 2 additional years, as applicable to the end of the Project. The design services will be contracted under both fees and hourly rates in accordance with the Manual of Procedures of the State of Alabama Department of Finance, Real Property Management, Division of Construction Management (DCM). This request for qualifications is not an offer to contract but seeks the submission of qualifications from qualified, professional respondents that may form the basis for the negotiation of an agreement.
