Reference Number 0000285072 Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/01/24 01:00:00 PM EST This Contract is for the St. Charles Catholic Elementary School Classroom and Washroom Renovations Request for Tender No. 24-25-06 to undertake miscellaneous interior renovations at the existing St. Charles Catholic Elementary School, located at 26 Charlotte Avenue in Chelmsford, and generally consisting of the renovations and upgrades to existing classrooms and washrooms in selected locations. The scope of the Work generally includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: .1 removal of existing flooring finishes, underlayment and subfloor sheathing and preparation existing wood framed substrate, as required, to suit levelling of existing wood floor joists and installation of new flooring as scheduled; the existing floor assemblies in Classroom Nos. 120, 121, 122, 123 & 124 consists of two (2) layers of asbestos-containing floor tiles and 1/4" (6 mm) plywood underlayment applied to 1 x 6shiplap floor sheathing, including designated substances abatement, as required, to suit; .2 localized demolition and reinstatement of existing concrete block partitions at existing washroom entrances, including reinstatement of terrazzo flooring and cove base, as required, to suit; .3 restoration of existing terrazzo flooring in existing washrooms, including localized repairs / reinstatement of severely cracked / deterioration terrazzo cove bases. .4 demolition of existing classroom finishes, as scheduled, including carefully removal and reinstallation of existing base millwork cabinets and installation of new storage cabinets and plastic laminate countertops, as detailed; .5 new interior finishes as scheduled, including but not limited to; new gypsum board partitions, suspended acoustic ceiling system, resilient tile flooring and base, paint finishes, as detailed and/or scheduled. .6 installation of new finish hardware at existing door openings, as scheduled; 7 supply and installation of new tackboards and whiteboards, as scheduled; .8 installation of TV mounting brackets supplied by Owner; .9 painting of existing interior hollow metal doors, frames, screens, partitions, gypsum board ceilings / bulkheads, as scheduled; .10 painting of the existing exterior preformed metal cladding and trim, as scheduled, including surface preparation, as required, to suit; .11 modifications and upgrades to existing mechanical services, as required, to suit scope of interior renovations, including provision of new plumbing fixtures in redeveloped washrooms and cleaning existing perimeter convector fins in existing classrooms; and .12 modifications and upgrades to existing electrical services, as required, to suit scope of interior renovations, including installation of new public address as scheduled. The Bid Bond shall be from a surety company licensed to carry on the business of suretyship in the Province of Ontario and be in the amount of 10% of the Contract Price.
