A cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable Bidder's Bond payable to the Owner in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the largest possible total for the bid submitted including consideration of alternates, must accompany each bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the Bidder will promptly enter into a Contract and execute such bonds as may be required. Sureties used for obtaining bonds must appear as acceptable in the Department of Treasury Circular No. 570. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246, all applicable laws and regulations of the federal government and the State of Louisiana, and bonding and insurance requirements. To bid and perform Work covered by these documents, the Contractor must be licensed under Classification IV- Municipal and Public Works Construction. The Contractor shall begin mobilization and procurement of materials within ten (10) days of the receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
