The Project Scope of Work for the Base Bid shall include all of the work as specified herein and as indicated and/or implied on the complete This project includes but is not limited to all work at all existing school buildings, required for the replacement of existing light fixtures, select plumbing fixtures and restroom accessories, new replacement doors and hardware, interior and exterior ceiling repairs/replacement, demolition and replacement of existing playground areas and equipment, new sight fencing, replacement driveway gate, and other upgrades as noted in the complete set of Bid Documents and Contract Documents. The Base Bid shall also include security and access control upgrades at the existing school buildings, including new replacement exterior doors in the existing frames, new associated hardware,including access control hardware, all required electrical service and new interior access control partitions, doors/frames and hardware. Security upgrades shall include new and existing chain link fencing repairs, new ballistic laminate applied to new and existing glazing, interior room number signage, exterior signage, interior security mirrors and installation of ballistic panels at existing reception desk areas. The scope of work for Add Alternate No.1 shall include the provision and installation of new pre-finished aluminum wind rated canopy system over existing walkways, including all associated concrete foundations and footings. All work must be Substantially Complete within two hundred and forty (240) consecutive days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. All Bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the Base Bid and all Alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashiers check or a Bid Bond Form written by a surety company licensed to do business in Louisiana, signed by the suretys agency or attorney-in-fact as per the project specifications
