Project Description Provide all labor, equipment, and materials for the Illinois State University Thomas Metcalf School Gym Cooling project. A heating/controls single prime will serve as the general contractor for the project with the expectation to subcontract all other work outside of the heating/controls scope. The project consists of adding cooling to Thomas Metcalf School Gym. Two base bids and one alternate bid are identified with the project. Base Bid 1: Work includes finishing and installing new chilled water cooling coils to two existing air handing unit systems. Additional work includes new controls for air handling units, new motors, variable frequency drives and associated electrical work. Existing chilled water system shall be extended to serve the air handling units. Existing ductwork shall be cleaned. Base Bid 2: Work includes demolish and replacement of two existing air handling unit systems including new controls, variable frequency drives and associated electrical work. Existing chilled water system shall be extended to serve the air handling units. Existing ductwork shall be cleaned. Alternate Bid: Alternate bid work would include demolish and replacement of the existing supply air ductwork in the gym with new fabric ductwork.
