Construction Manager At Risk North Platte Pedestrian Bridge Any questions which arise from this request shall be addressed to the City of Casper as follows: City of Casper Engineering Division Terry Cottenoir, Engineering Technician 307.235.8341 tcottenoir@casperwy.gov Site Address: Intersection of S. Poplar and W. 1st St Description: The procurement of Construction Manager At Risk (CMAR) services by a qualified CMAR firm to participate in a collaborative process to assist in the development, permitting, and design; to provide scheduling and budget input; to provide bidding services for potential sub-contractors; to influence the methods, phasing and sequencing of the construction phase; and participate in the construction delivery for construction of the North Platte River Pedestrian Bridge. The proposed North Platte River Pedestrian Bridge Project is a critical construction project for the City of Casper. The approximately two hundred thirty-foot (230') bridge would reroute pedestrians crossing the river from the vehicular bridge to the pedestrian bridge along South Poplar Street. The project will also include multi-use pathway connections to the existing pathways and sidewalks in the area, installation of lighting and upgrades to the sanitary sewer, storm sewer and water utilities in the area. The pedestrian bridge will not only provide a safe alternative to pedestrian traffic along South Poplar Street, it will also provide users easier access to the recreational activities associated with the North Platte River. Additionally, the bridge will act as a structure crossing for vital water and sewer utilities. The City of Casper is the recipient of a Wyoming Outdoor Recreation Grant (WORG) for the design and construction of this project. All work shall meet the requirements of the City, WORG, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for work in the North Platte River and work related to soil contamination/mitigation areas such as BP/Amoco on this project.
