Demolition and site work for a residential development in Alpena, Michigan. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
Questions regarding this Request for Proposal shall be submitted by email by 5:00 PM on January 17, 2025, and directed to Montiel Birmingham at montielb@alpena.mi.us. Coordination with Leavesley Construction, the Asbestos Containing Materials, Hazardous Materials and Universal Waste abatement contractor to align timing. A passed clearance exam is required by Otwell Mawby (the environmental contractor) prior to demolition work beginning. Demolition and Site Restoration - State of Michigan Residential Builders license or Maintenance Contractor license with a House Wrecking classification is required. An underground storage tank is present on site. Demolition contractor is required to subcontract removal of the underground storage tank with a qualified environmental response contractor. The chosen subcontractor is subject to approval by the Alpena County Land Bank Authority based on experience and qualifications. Examination of the underground storage tank and surrounding soils will be completed on-site during excavation; the demolition contractor must coordinate all excavation activities with Otwell Mawby (the environmental contractor) and the subcontractor completing the removal of the underground storage tank.
