Reference Number 0000372596 The City of Oceanside is soliciting proposals to replace the existing communication between the intersections of Oceanside Boulevard at Ditmar Street and Oceanside Boulevard at Vine Street. The proposed improvement shall consist of furnishing and installing fiber optic cables and equipment, splicing fiber optic cables to existing fiber, removing existing twisted pair cables, and upgrading pull boxes. Time is of the essence in the performance of work under this contract. All work shall be completed in every detail to the satisfaction of the Engineer, exclusive of Maintenance and Concrete Curing Periods, within 90 working days after the commencement date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated Damages: Per Section 7 of the General Provisions, Subsection 7.24, the Liquidated Damages for failure of the CONTRACTOR to complete the work within the Contract Time set forth in Subsection 1.3.4 and Section 6, Notice to Proceed are in the sum of five hundred dollars ($500) per consecutive day in excess of the contract time. *The AGENCY reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularity, and to take all bids under advisement for a period of thirty (30) days after the date the bids are publicly opened.
