The Township of Langley owns and operates a network of 42 bridges within the Engineering Division, which includes both road and pedestrian bridges. The bridges to be inspected consist of several different designs, and construction materials. Past bridge inspections have been carried out at least once every 5-10 years with the last inspection completed in 2020. Structures identified as needing attention have been routinely subjected to follow-up inspections and repairs. The Township would like to continue with the program and carry out another detailed inspection of the 42 structures from qualified proponents.
