Engineer Estimate: $880,000 Each bid must be made upon the Proposal form provided and must be accompanied with a bid bond for the full amount of the bid in favor of the City of Brunswick given by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Ohio, or a certified check or cashier's check in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid but in no event less than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00). The amount of such bond or check to be paid to the City as stipulated for liquidated damages in the event that the successful bidder fails to enter into the contract under the terms of his bid within fourteen (14) days after being notified of the award of the contract to such bidder. The bond of an unsuccessful bidder shall forthwith be canceled and the check of such bidder returned, or, in the event the check has been deposited the amount shall be returned. When a Contract is entered into, a Surety Bond satisfactory to the City in an amount equal to 100% of the total bid shall be furnished. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days following the bid opening. Each Proposal must contain the name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed within 90 days of the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The right is reserved to accept all or any part of any bid, to reject any and all bids, and to waive informalities should it be deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Brunswick to do so. The bid deposits of all except the three lowest bidders will be returned within seven days after opening the bids. The bid deposits of the three lowest bidders will be returned within forty-eight (48) hours after the executed contract and required bonds have been finally approved by the owner.
