Site work for a water / sewer project in Scotland Neck, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
"This rebid is only for Division B of this project." The project scope of work consists of the furnishing of all materials, labor and equipment necessary to install the following: Division ‘A’: Influent pump station building improvements, Chemical storage improvements, Oxidation ditch rotor #1 replacement, Clarifier #1 rehab/repair, and Tertiary filter pump station improvements, Pump Station improvements to five (5) existing pump stations in the town’s sanitary sewer collection system will be rehabbed to include masonry repairs, wetwell rehab, replacement of controls, piping, valves, and pumps. Permanent generators will be installed at four (4) of the pump stations; PS #2 will receive a dedicated portable generator. This project will also include the installation of a SCADA system at the five (5) pump stations and three (3) locations at the WWTP. Division ‘B’: Rehabilitation of 6,383 LF of 8", 10" and 12" vitrified clay gravity sewers with a cured in place liner (CIPP), replace 4,192 LF of 10" and 16" of vitrified clay gravity sewers with 10" and 16" PVC/DIP pipes, replace 21 precast 4' diameter manholes, rehab 134 vertical feet of existing manholes and replace 111 4" sewer services. This project will also include a system-wide investigation of the sewer collection system by CCTV and smoke testing, then complete the corrective measures to repair the sources of inflow. Division A - estimated budget: $2,100,000 Division B-estimated budget: $2,600,000 Question deadline: 2/10/25 at 12:00 PM This project will also include the installation of a SCADA system at the five (5) pump stations and three (3) locations at the WWTP. Each application must be accompanied by a certified check made payable to Engineering Services, PA. The full amount of the deposit for the first set will be refunded to each Bidder who submits a formal proposal to the Owner. BID SECURITY Each Proposal must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check payable to the order of the Owner, Town of Scotland Neck, Scotland Neck, North Carolina, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and a corporate surety licensed under the laws of the State of North Carolina to execute such bonds in an amount not less than 5% of the bid as a guarantee that the Bidder will within ten (10) days after the date of the Bidder's receipt of the NOTICE OF AWARD of a contract, execute an agreement and file same as required by the Contract Document if his Proposal is accepted. Doc note: Copies of the Contract Document required for review or bidding purposes may be obtained, during regular business hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, only, at the office of Engineering Services, PA, upon deposit of $300 for each set of documents so obtained. The Owner reserves the right to reject all Proposals of Bidders for any Division of the project. The Owner further reserves the right to reject the Proposal of any Bidder submitting a proposal which is not responsive to the bid documents or the proposal of any Bidder which is found not responsible to carry out the scope and intent of the bid document. The Owner reserves the right to reject any Proposal for failure to comply with all requirements of this notice or of the Contract Document; however, he may waive any minor defects or informalities at his discretion. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals or to award the Contract that is in their best interest. The bidding Contractors are encouraged to provide project related questions to Brian Cox, three (3) business days prior to the pre-bid conference so that responses can be provided during the meeting.
