The City of Binghamton seeks statements of qualifications from professional firms to provide architectural services for design and renovation of City Hall's 5th floor to support Binghamton City Court operations. Comprehensive renovation and reconfiguration is required to support Court operations, including expansion to newly-available space on the floor. This project will aim to address the growing demands placed on the Court by enhancing security, for both staff and the public. One of the key goals is to establish secure, designated pathways and space for staff and the public. Additionally, the project will focus on optimizing the workspace for Court staff, by creating a more functional layout of back-office space. These improvements will not only enhance safety and operational efficiency but also significantly improve the overall experience for Court users. The selected firm will work collaboratively with Mayor's Office, Public Works and Court Administrations officials to conduct space planning and architectural design for capital improvements to City Hall's 5th Floor, and other offices spaces at City Hall impacted by the renovations. The selected firm would support predevelopment, final design, bidding and support construction phases. Project Scope The project scope will include at least the following: 1. Space planning assistance and analysis 2. Environmental surveys, including pre-demolition 3. Development of initial schematics 4. Development of preliminary budget 5.
