The project consists of approximately 11,550 linear feet of roadway rehabilitation with HMA milling and resurfacing, concrete ADA curb ramps and sidewalk reconstruction, concrete curb replacement as well as other incidentals. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. A certified cashier s check payable to the City of Garrett, or a bid bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, must accompany each bid. The successful Bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds guaranteeing faithful and proper performance of the work and materials executed by an acceptable surety company at the time of contract execution. Each bond will be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount and must be in full force and effect throughout the term of the Construction Contract plus a period of twelve (12) months from the date of substantial completion. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bidding and to award contracts in the best interest of the City of Garrett. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for opening bids or authorized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the time and date specified will not be considered. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) days. A conditional or qualified Bid will not be accepted.
