Est. Completion Date: Aug. 21, 2025 A. Install erosion control devices prior to construction activities. B. East Parking Lot: 1. Reclaim existing bituminous pavement and underlying soils to a depth of 8 inches. 2. Grade and compact reclaimed material to accommodate new pavement section. 3. Schedule and perform proof-roll of prepared base in the presence of the Engineer. a. Where required by the Engineer, perform subgrade corrections by excavating existing soils and replacing with reclaimed material and/or imported aggregate base. b. Remove excess reclaimed material from the site. 4. Place new bituminous pavement over prepared base in two lifts. 5. Stripe parking lot as shown on the Drawings. C. East Drive: 1. Remove existing concrete curbing and concrete sidewalk panels as shown on the Drawings. 2. Construct new concrete curb and gutter and accessible curb ramp as shown. 3. Mill existing bituminous pavement to a depth of 2 inches. 4. Repair damaged pavement areas marked in the field by the Engineer. 5. Clean and tack milled pavement surface and place new 2" bituminous overlay. 6. Stripe drive as shown on the Drawings. D. Place topsoil, seed, and erosion control blanket in disturbed lawn areas. E. Remove erosion control devices following final site stabilization. Each bidder must accompany their bid with a Responsible Contractor Compliance Affidavit and a Cashier's Check, Bid Bond, or Certified Check equal to 5% of the total amount of the Bid, payable to Independent School District 281 as a guarantee of prompt execution of the contract in accordance with the Bid and Contract Documents. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Performance Bond. Bids may not be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of opening bids, without the consent of the School Board of Independent School District 281 of Minnesota.
