Site work for a water / sewer project in Palm Bay, Florida. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Replacement of approximately 2100 linear feet (LF) of existing 8” and 12” ACP watermain located adjacent to the BEALLS Outlet with 8” and 10” PVC watermain via open-cut trenching. Approximately 100 LF of pipe will be installed as 10” HDPE watermain via horizontal directional drilling to avoid thoroughfare through Port Malabar Blvd NE. Asphalt pavement and existing sidewalk will be demolished and replaced, with asphalt pavement being replaced in accordance with the 2024 City of Palm Bay Public Works Manual. This is one of many projects that serves to replace aged asbestos concrete mains that are prone to breaking and leaks with newer and more reliable PVC/HDPE. As of January 15, 2025, this project is in included in the City'of Palm Bay''s FY 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP)) and funding is allotted for construction in FY 2027. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
