Site work for a water / sewer project in Palm Bay, Florida. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
It is anticipated that with the next BMAP the FDEP will impose more stringent nutrient removal requirements on the North Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant. To meet the anticipated requirements, the biological treatment process would be converted to a Modified Ludzach-Ettinger (MLE) configuration with the construction of a new 1 MG Anoxic Basin, internal recycle pumps and piping/valves, alum chemical feed system, and related electrical/control system improvements. This project would increase the operational removal efficiency of TN and TP at the NRWWTP. As of January 15, 2025, this project is in included in the City'of Palm Bay''s FY 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP)) and funding is allotted for construction in FY 2028. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
