THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP). NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The Department of Energy/Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) is issuing an RFI as a means of conducting market research to obtain information on capable Contractors who will be able to provide various steel structures in accordance with the attached Specifications and Drawing documents. Material to be delivered to Wilton, ND, FOB Destination. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. Responses will not be considered as proposals nor will any award be made as a result of this RFI. All information contained in the RFI is preliminary, as well as subject to modification and is in no way binding on the Government. FAR clause 52.215-3, "Request for Information or Solicitation for Planning Purposes", is incorporated by reference in this RFI. This RFI will be the basis for collecting information on capabilities available. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes. Based on the responses to this RFI/market research, this requirement may be set-aside for small businesses, or procured through full and open competition.
