Site work for a civil project in Seguin, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: 1. The construction approximate- of y 7280 LF of storm drain for wo drainage systems. The first system runs through West New Braunfels Street, Collins Avenue, 7th Street, crosses West Kingsbury Street (US 90) 4th Street, 8th Street, reet, and crosses San Antonio Avenue to out fall at Walnut Branch Creek The second system begins north of the intersection of West New Braunfels Street (FM 78) and Hidalgo Street, runs across New Braunfels tree FM M 78), down Hidalgo Street then south and west before out Falling at Walnut Branch Creek Inlets, man holes, and junction boxes will be installed where necessary. Storm drain sizes range from 18-inch rein- forced concrete pipe to 7x3 concrete box culverts. Water, sewer, and street improvements will be required. This work includes the construction of approximately 4090 LF of water lines, approximately 4340 LF of sanitary sewer lines, and approximately 4500 LF of street improvements. Work includes, but is not limited to. water and sewer adjustments and replacements, driveway reconstruction, and proposed curb. This project is being supported with Texas General Land Office, Community Development Block Grant Mitigation (GLO CDBG-MIT) grant funding. Bidders shall submit a bid bond by an accept- able surety in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid issued. A certified check or bank draft pay- able to the locality or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be sub- mitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The successful Bidder must furnish Performance and Payments Bonds each in the amount of 100% of the con- tract price from an approved Surety Company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as Sure- ty and accept- able according to the latest list of companies holding certificates of authority from the Secretary of Treasury of the United States, or other Surety or Sureties acceptable to the Owner. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally deter- mined prevailing (Davis-Ba- con and Related Acts) wage rate. as issued by the US Department of Labor and contained in the con- tract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bid- der must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race. color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. The City is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The City of Seguin reserves the right to reject any or all bids on to waive formalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City for a period of 60 days or until a con- tract is awarded, whichever occurs first, from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
