The Borough of Park Ridge seeks experienced Historic Restoration General Contractors who specialize in slate roof restoration and associated drainage upgrades and flashings, restoration of rough and finish carpentry including windows, siding, trim, doors, wainscot, and flooring, structural upgrades at floor framing, the sensitive installation of new systems, and surface preparation and painting of historic buildings. The project generally consists of the following: 1. Restoration and replacement of the existing slate roofing; 2. Restoration of the roof drainage system including custom gutters and flashings; 3. Restoration of exterior siding and trim. 4. Restoration of wood windows. 5. Restoration of exterior and interior doors. 6. Restoration and repair of interior finishes including wood wainscoting; 7. Installation of new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; 8. Restoration of wood flooring; 9. Installation of structural upgrades at floor and wall framing; and 10. Surface preparation and painting of historic and restored surfaces at the exterior and interior.
