Renovation of a municipal facility in Groton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Replace Dry Sprinkler system in attic of Town Hall. Provide access holes near each dry style sprinkler (15 total) currently installed in hard ceiling that will allow contractor to take replacement measurements prior to replacing. 23 2. Town personnel(1), familiar with the system will assist if required with moving manned platform to expedite work in a safe manner as well as to be available to answer questions, provide access, and coordinate with local officials and others as needed. 3. Provide a secure, dry, heated space to store materials for duration of project 4 Provide dumpster for duration of project for all piping and materials removed. 5 Procure any permit and fees associated with Job. 6 Supply scissor lift to be used with project. Scope of work to be completed 1 Procure and provide an OSHA approved mobile work platform. 2 Remove up to 63' of 3" schedule 10 piping with associated fittings and replace with new. 3 Remove up to 225' of 2.5" schedule 10 piping and associated fittings and replace with new. 4 Remove up to 63' of 2" schedule 10 piping with associated fittings and replace with new. 5 Remove up to 48' of 1.25" schedule 40 piping with associated fittings and replace with new. 6 Remove up to 240' of 1" schedule 40 piping with associated fittings and replace with new. 7 Remove up to (15) 3/4 " Tyco BB3 200 attic heads and replace with new. 8 Remove up to (55) 155 concealed dry style pendants (up to 24") with cover plates and replace with TEMPORARY SPRINKLER COVERAGE UNTIL NEW SPECIAL MADE-TOORDER DRY CONCLEALED STYLE SPRINKLERS ARE RECEIVED. 9 Return to location once the (55) dry heads are received. Remove the temporary sprinklers installed and install (55) new 155 concealed dry style pendants (up to 24") with associated cover plates. 10 Remove up to (40) 1/2 " SR 155 chrome pendants and replace with new. 11 Install 2 new contractor cleanouts as directed by the town The contractor shall supply all labor, materials, equipment, vehicles, tools, insurance, bonds and incidentals to provide removal and replacement of portions of the Dry Sprinkler system in town hall located at 173 Main Street. The contractor shall measure and do their own estimates for the replacement of the system as required. There are no modification required, except for contractor cleanouts as directed by the town, so no further drawings will be provided. Contractor Qualification Before contract signing, the Contractor shall furnish the Town with a performance bond and a labor and materials payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (50%) of the contract price, to insure completion of the work and payment for all labor and materials furnished on the project. Question Deadline 01/24/2025 Questions, Clarifications and Interpretations: Bidders shall promptly notify the Highway Department of questions, ambiguities, inconsistencies, errors, or omissions which they may discover upon examination of the Contract and Specification documents, the site and local conditions. 1. Written Request Required: Submit written request for clarification and interpretation to the Highway Department by mail or FAX (978 .448-1174). Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000.
