Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Peoria, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a religious / funeral development; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The proposed improvements consist of a new driveway, parking lot, concrete pad, and sidewalks to provide access to the Freedom & Remembrance Memorial which currently is an open grassy area with no driveway access from the street or parking to accommodate visitors. The memorial site is located near S Griswold St and SW Adams St, All proposals must be accompanied by cash, certified check, cashier's check, or a bid bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond for the full amount of the contract, with sureties, to be approved by the City Engineer. Compliance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act is required under this contract. Prime Contractors have an obligation to make a good faith effort to advance the City's commitment to increase diversity among the firms working on City construction projects. The City of Peoria reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals. count only 5% of the contract amount toward the M/WBE goals. Description of work. I.
