The TOWN of Amherst ("TOWN") is soliciting proposals from qualified proposers with demonstrable experience in providing catch basin cleaning and inspection services to include the cleaning, by clamshell and/or vactor, of approximately 1,000 catch basins, and inspection of all catch basins. The inspection for each location will be documented electronically and provided to the town. The TOWN endeavors to expedite the award and execution of the contract documents. The proposals will be reviewed and the lowest cost proposals that best meets the towns requirements shall be recommended for Contract award. It is the intent of the TOWN to award a Catch Basin Cleaning and Inspection contract within fifteen (15) calendar days after the final award decision has been made. If any changes are made to the Request for Proposal (RFP), an addendum will be issued. Addenda will be mailed, faxed, or emailed to all Proposers on record as having picked up/downloaded the RFP. Proposers shall be responsible for ensuring that they are in receipt of all addenda prior to proposal deadline. The TOWN will require acknowledgement of any addenda issued to be included on the proposal form. After the proposal opening, a Proposer may not change any provision of the proposal in a manner prejudicial to the interests of the TOWN or fair competition. At the Town's sole discretion, minor irregularities may be waived if in the best interest of the Town. The TOWN may cancel this RFP or reject, in whole or in part, any and all proposals if the TOWN determines that the cancellation or rejection serves the best interests of the TOWN. H. All proposals submitted in response to this RFP must remain firm for sixty (60) days following the proposal opening. I. A proposal must be signed as follows: 1) if the Proposer is an individual, by her/him personally, 2) if the Proposer is a partnership, by the name of the partnership, followed by the signature of each general partner; and 3) if the Proposer is a corporation, by the authorized officer.
