Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Amherst, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The Project consists of constructing a 24'-4" wide, 57'-0" single span prestressed concrete adjacent deck beam bridge founded on cantilever abutments with spread footings. Additional work includes removal and salvage of the existing temporary bridge, portable concrete barriers, impact attenuators, and existing headwall stones to the Town of Amherst DPW and removal and disposal of the existing corrugated metal pipe arches. Roadway approach work will be limited to approximately 220' west of the bridge and 190' east of the bridge. The engineer's estimate for the work is between $1,100,000 and $1,300,000. The project schedule is to procure materials and perform preliminary work in the summer and fall of 2024. On-site construction requiring the roadway to be closed may start on April 21, 2025 and the Contractor shall achieve substantial completion on or before August 22, 2025 and completed and ready for final payment on or before September 21, 2025. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form.
