As of March 10, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded today. This project includes the replacement of approximately 299 lead water services at various locations throughout the Village of Brookfield, including but not necessarily limited to Elm Avenue from Monroe Avenue to 31st Street Park Avenue from Washington Avenue to 31st Street Oak Avenue from Washington Avenue to 31st Street Sunnyside Avenue from Washington Avenue to 31st Street Monroe Avenue from Park Avenue to Sunnyside Avenue These improvements will include the installation of Type K copper water services from the existing water main to the new curb stop (roundway complete with box) and from the new curb stop to the existing water meter located inside of the residence, and any related restoration work. This project is being funded with Low-Interest Loan funds obtained from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA). The Village reserves the right to modify the scope of work to match the amount of the IEPA loan funding being obtained. This could include increasing or decreasing certain quantities of work under the Contract. Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of the Village of Brookfields 2025 Lead Water Service Replacements - Phase I Any contract or contracts awarded under this invitation for bids are expected to be funded in part by a loan from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (Illinois EPA). Neither the State of Illinois nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees is or will be a party to this invitation for bids or any resulting contract. The procurement will be subject to regulations contained in the Procedures for Issuing Loans from the Public Water Supply Loan Program (35IAC Part 662), the Davis-Bacon Act (40 USC 276a through 276a-5) as defined by the United States Department of Labor, the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act (30 ILCS 570), Illinois Works Jobs Program Act (30 ILCS 559/20-1), and the federal Build America, Buy America Act requirements contained in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, Pub. L. No. 117-58 All bidders wishing to obtain bidding documents must be approved by the Village prior to obtaining bidding documents. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided and will only be accepted from bidders that have obtained bidding documents from the Edwin Hancock Engineering Company.
