CONSTRUCTION OF TWO PEDESTRIAN REFUGE ISLANDS ON RIVERVIEW DRIVE TO PROMOTE SAFE PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC. The City of Bowling Green, Kentucky reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, and to select that bid which it determines to be in its best interest. The award of this bid will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder on the basis of the Lowest Bid Price as permitted in 23 CFR Part 635. Contractors must submit the entire proposal when submitting their bid. Bidders and DBE subcontractors must be prequalified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and possess a Certificate of Eligibility at the time of the bid opening. All other subcontractors must be prequalified when accepting subcontracts. A bid bond of 5% must be submitted with bids. Additionally performance and payment bonds of 100% will be required. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal established for this project is 6.5%. Bidder must certify that it has secured participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE).
