Site work for a mixed-use development in Sechelt, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and road / highway.
BC Parks is inviting submissions from qualified proponents to provide improvements to the main trail within Smuggler Cove Marine Park. The trail provides coast access from the main parking lot and meanders alongside beaver ponds. The existing boardwalk is nearing end of life and has been dislodged from its foundations due to the water level rise from Beaver activity. Pond levellers have been installed to maintain the high-water mark and also maintain beaver habitat. The successful proponent will be responsible for: Removal of the existing boardwalk superstructure and disposal at a municipal waste facility Replacement of the existing boardwalks using the same or similar construction as existing New boardwalks to be a minimum of 1830mm wide throughout with a wheel stop and handrail as required. Foundation to be cedar post on concrete deck blocks or gabion baskets Improvements to the boardwalk approaches to suit new boardwalk Trail improvements to reduce water-logged areas and remove major trip hazards Adherence to environmental regulations and the Environmental Protection Plan (Inlailawatash/Aquaterra 2024) Coordination with environmental monitors Documents can be obtained from www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca
