Renovation of an educational facility in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Bingham Facility 2 is currently served by two 100% outside air DX cooling/propane gas heating units located on the building roof. The units were designed to condition 8000 CFM to maintain an indoor temperature to 70-74F. This project will replace the current systems with a system to be able to maintain required conditions. The new system will include design and installation of a new air-cooled chiller and a new propane hot water boiler as part of this project. This project includes the removal and replacement of the existing rooftop air handling units serving Building 2 on the Bingham Facility Campus. Additionally, the project includes installation of new boilers and chillers and steam piping infrastructure to serve Building 2 All questions must be received by 4:00 pm on September 8, 2026 and include contact information for those submitting the questions.
