The Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky (TANK) is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the removal and installation of seven (7) in-ground bus lifts. The Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky (TANK) is the public transportation system that provides service to Boone, Campbell and Kenton Counties in Northern Kentucky as well as downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. TANK provides both fixedroute mass transportation services through approximately 100 city-type transit buses, and paratransit services through approximately 34 cutaway type vehicles. TANK employs approximately 280 employees, in a union environment. 2 Year Firm-fixed price contract for the removal and installation of seven (7) in-ground bus lifts. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services required to remove and replace seven (7) two post heavy duty in-ground hoist assemblies at the TANK Maintenance Facility. Lifts will be removed and replaced in phases to minimize disruption to the daily operation. TANK will purchase and provide the in-ground hoist assemblies separately. A Site visit is strongly recommended. o Remove existing inground lifts o Remove and dispose of existing lift equipment and power units from the specified bays o Excavate and prepare the bay for the new lift containments manufacturer's Drawings & Equipment Foundation Requirements o Backfill as specified by the manufacturer with pea gravel and concrete o Provide and install required rebar per the EFR and pour the surface concrete. o Set the new lift equipment w/ NSA Assistance o Utilizing electric supply to existing power unit, route electric to the lift containment for connection once the equipment is in place. o Route electric to the lift containment for connection once the equipment is in place. o After lift components are set in place by NSA, make final electrical and air connections. o Hoist sump pumps to be connected to existing floor drain plumbing connected to oil water separator. o Existing floor drain plumbing to be re-routed around new lift assemblies. o *Exclusions: underground obstructions such as excessive concrete (more than 10" deep), rock, water, drains, utilities, piping, or contaminated soil.
