Question Deadline 06/27/2025 at 5:00 PM CT Renovation of an existing single-story recreation and fitness center. The renovation includes renovation of the 3,777 sq. ft. pool area, and 9,553 sq. ft. of Senior Center within the existing recreation and fitness center. Limited exterior work will be performed includes new exterior hollow metal doors and frames, new canopies, new translucent fiberglass sandwich panel, portion of new standing seam metal roof exterior openings, masonry repair, painting of existing exterior wall, gutters, downspouts, doors, canopies and aluminum window frames, minor sitework and parking lot striping. Attention is particularly called to the requirement of paying not less than the prevailing Davis Bacon Related Acts (DBRA) wages rates specified in the Contract Documents. These rates are minimums to be paid during the life of the contract. It is therefore the responsibility of the Bidder to inform themselves as to local labour conditions. A Bid Bond, payable to City of La Porte in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum Bid price submitted, must accompany each Bid as guarantee that, if awarded the Contract, the Bidder will within fifteen (15) calendar days of award of Contract enter a Contract and execute Bonds on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. The successful Bidder must furnish PERFORMANCE and PAYMENT BONDS on the forms furnished with the BIDDING DOCUMENTS, in the amount of 100% of the total Contract price. The City reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive any and all technicalities and to accept any bid or part thereof, which in the opinion of the city council, is most advantageous to the city. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the prices in the bid, the city reserves the right to consider the most advantageous bid thereof or to reject the bid.
