The Contractor will be responsible to furnish all labor, materials and equipment necessary to perform road and bridge sweeping services for the arterial/collector, subdivision streets and 5 Points facility listed in the solicitation. This includes removing sand, soil, paper, glass, vegetation and other debris from curb and gutter, valley gutter, bridge decks and curbs, intersections, turn lanes, gore areas, bi-directional lanes and all paved areas designated by the county. The work is expected to be performed primarily by mechanical means, but at times it may be necessary to manually remove debris too large for the sweeper. All work, reporting, disposal and documentation will be included in the unit price per curb mile. There may be occasions where directed sweeping of a small area (less than a district in size) may be required in addition to the regular cycles. It may consist of curb sweeping or roadway pavement sweeping. Curb miles and linear miles shall be a minimum of eight (8) feet wide. A Purchase Orders will be issued based on estimated number of curb miles, scheduled or directed sweeping, and number of sweepings cycles of the 5 points compound. Authorization for work will be in the form of an emailed spreadsheet from the Inspector specifying the areas and tentative dates to be swept. A collector/arterial cycle will encompass the listed streets in all five districts of the County. The County anticipates four (4) collector/arterial cycles per year. A subdivision cycle will encompass all the listed streets in all five districts. The County anticipates two (2) subdivision cycles per year. A Wekiva Focus Area (PFA) will encompass the listed streets within district 3. The County anticipates six (6) Wekiva Focus Area (PFA) cycles per year. The County also expects to sweep the 5 Points Complex six (6) times per year. The areas swept and numbers of cycles are subject to change based on the County's needs. Streets may be added or removed from the list at the cost identified for sweeping. If a street is unable to be swept because of construction or other reasons, it should be bypassed and noted by the Contractor. Bidders, both corporate and individual, must be fully licensed and certified for the type of work to be performed in the State of Florida at the time of submittal of Bid. Should the Bidder not be fully licensed and certified, its bid shall be rejected. Any permits, licenses, or fees required shall be the responsibility of the Bidder. No separate or additional payment will be made for these costs. Adherence to all applicable code regulations, Federal, State, County, City, etc., are the responsibility of the Bidder There will not be a Pre-Proposal Conference for this IFB. Question Deadline 01/27/2025 at 5:00 PM ET If the Q&A deadline has passed, a Bidder may contact the COUNTY directly if necessary at pcdadmin@seminolecountyfl.gov. The COUNTY reserves the right to reject any questions sent after the Q&A deadline. The County reserves the right, before award, to require a Bidder to submit such evidence of his qualifications as it may deem necessary, and may consider any evidence available such as financial, technical, and other qualifications and abilities of the Bidder, including past performance and experience with the County.
