The Work generally consists of road surface improvements to improve asphalt concrete pavement seal and waterproofing, and to reduce further surface material loss. The 2025 Road Maintenance Program will incorporate a micro-surfacing including the supply of the asphalt emulsion and diluting water, or fog seal, and applicable temporary pavement markings to select roadways within the R.M. of Eldon No. 471 (RM). Roads to be improved will include the following: Micro-Surfacing Part J - Township Road 490 - Range Road 3235 to Range Road 3223 (9 Miles) Part K - Range Road 3230 - Township Road 480 to Township Road 484 (4 Miles) Fog Seal Coat Part I - Township Road 492 - Highway 21 to Range Road 3231 (1 Mile) Part L - Township Road 494 - Range Road 3230 to Range Road 3223 & Range Road 3223 - Township Road 494 to Township Road 490 (7 Miles) Part M - Range Road 3240 - 1 Mile North of Township Road 482 to Highway 16 (3 Miles) Part N - Grid Road 684 - Highway 16 to 2 Miles South of Township Road 472 (Rm of Eldon Boundary) (6 Miles) Note: Prior to any road seal coat treatments, areas requiring deep patching must be addressed and remedied by the Owner. Additional road sections may be added by the RM as a result of road inspections after the spring thaw. The Tender submission must be accompanied by a ten percent (10%) Bid Bond and Consent of Surety as well as an outline of the Bidders safety program and policy, or valid Certificate of Recognition. The successful Bidder shall furnish Performance and Labour and Materials Payment Bonds within fifteen (15) days following confirmation that the Biddes Tender has been accepted. The lowest of any Tender will not necessarily be accepted. Not earlier than July 1, 2025 and no later than August 31, 2025 or when all approvals and permits are obtained by the Owner. The rate of progress must be such that the whole will be completed on or before September 30, 2025, or such later date as the Owner may for any reason determine.
