Renovation of an educational facility in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Demolish the existing fire alarm panels, devices, and cabling and replace with new fire alarm panels, devices and cabling, etc. for a complete and operational fire alarm system for this building, as noted on the plans and specifications. A. This project involves maintaining an active fire alarm system in an active building, while migrating over to a new fire alarm system, and upon completion and acceptance of the new fire alarm system, the former fire alarm system shall be completely demolished. B. All new fire alarm wiring, panels, devices, components, etc. shall be replaced with new. C. Existing fire alarm rough-in and boxes may be reused if suitable to meet the needs of the proposed new fire alarm system and current codes and standards. One-Two Sentences Tate Turner Kuralt was constructed in 1995 and is located at 325 Pittsboro Street Chapel Hill, NC. The building is a state supported building with general purpose classrooms. Tate Turner Kuralt has a Pyrotronics MXL system that need to be replaced. This project includes replacing the control panel and the attached 418 devices, reusing the wiring where possible.
