PROJECT DESCRIPTION & MAJOR WORK ITEMS: The project entails replacing an estimated 450 lead or galvanized iron water service lines with new HDPE service lines in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Duluth, Minnesota. Water service replacements may be from the main to the curb stop, from the curbstop to the building or both. The project includes small-diameter HDPE water main extensions to replace share lead water services. Work will take place in the right of way as well as in on private property and within private buildings. Restoration of all public and private property is required, including but not limited to concrete & bituminous surfaces, vegetation and landscaping. ANTICIPATED START DATE: April 15, 2025 SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION DATE: November 11, 2025 FINAL COMPLETION: Final Completion June 29, 2026. The City of Duluth reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any or all bids. Regardless of the method of submission, it is the bidder's responsibility to ensure the bid surety is received by Purchasing prior to the bid opening. 1. Insurance - Contractor must provide proof of Commercial Liability and Automobile Liability Insurance with limits not less than $1,500,000 Single Limit prior to the commencement of work. The City of Duluth must be named as an additional insured. Please refer to the draft Contract, Section 7, which can be found in the contract documents at the bottom of the solicitation. 2. Performance & Payment Bonds - The awarded contractor will be required to submit performance and payments bonds in the full amount of the project cost prior to award.
