The project is expected to be awarded on March 20, 2025.** The project includes removal of existing paved surface, regrading and compaction the flexible base for proper alignment and applying Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete (HMAC) on 3rd Street, for implementation of drainage improvements in the City of Robert Lee, Texas, as identified in the project plans. Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: 1. Drainage improvements of 3rd Street. Owner anticipates that the Project's total bid price will be approximately $497,313. The Project has an expect duration of 90 days. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000]. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Robert Lee or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Pre bid meeting info : A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held via Teams Meeting. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because ofrace, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin The City of Robert Lee reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by City of Robert Lee for a period not to exceed 30 I 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of review the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project.
