Renovation of a water / sewer project in Armstrong Station, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The proposed work included in this Contract is located in the community of Armstrong Station, located in the Thunder Bay District of Ontario, approximately 255 kilometres north from the City of Thunder Bay. Whitesand First Nation is a coterminous community to Armstrong and is also serviced by the Water Treatment Plant. The Tender includes: - Supply and installation of a new 125 kW exterior mounted (propane) stand-by power generator including concrete pad foundation and outdoor works, connections, and appurtenances. - Removal of existing diesel generator, fuel supply lines and tankage, containment, exhaust piping, ductwork, supports, concrete pads, penetrations, masonry, etc. - Removal and replacement of existing chlorine residual and turbidity analyzers, pH probe, injection and sampling points, piping/tubing, connections and electrical, etc. - Supply and installation of two (2) new turbidity analyzers for Well 1 and Well 2A. - Removal and replacement of existing post filtration and distribution flow meters. - Removal and replacement of the existing High-Volume Pump and all ancillary equipment. - Supply and installation of two (2) new level sensors c/w transmitters within reservoir. - Removal and relocation of existing chemical feed panel, pumps, solution tanks, and two (2) new chemical feed pumps. - Removal and replacement of three (3) existing high-lift submersible pumps, including starter panels and ancillary equipment. - Removal and replacement of two (2) existing low-lift submersible pumps, including starter panels and ancillary equipment. - Supply and installation of a secondary chlorination injection point. - Removal and replacement of existing UV units including process piping, fittings, supports, electrical connections and appurtenances. - Modifications to existing discharge process piping to below grade reservoir cells. - Cleaning, flushing, disinfecting and reinstating existing below grade reservoir and wet well. - Removal and disposal of existing electrical equipment. - Removal and replacement of existing electrical equipment instrumentation, PLC and new SCADA systems. - Removal and replacement of components within the existing Whitesand First Nation and CNR metering chambers. - Conditions assessment and reporting for existing distribution system. - Swabbing and flushing of the existing watermain distribution system. - Leak detection survey of the existing watermain distribution system. - Removal and replacement of existing fire hydrant assemblies, isolation valves, and water service curbstops, as identified.
