Other work includes construction of a new access ramp/road, installation of a gas monitoring probe, and crushing/screening of existing stockpiled rock/rubble/soil with product utilized within the project. The project work area is located on Pulehu Road approximately half-a-mile south of the Central Maui Landfill facility entrance. The north CML 99 acres parcel, where stockpiled rock/rubble/soil is located, is 1,000 feet north of the CML entrance facility. The County 209 parcel for off-site borrow source is located on west side of Kuihelani Hwy (Hwy 380) approximately 3.36 miles south of the intersection of Maui Veterans Hwy (Hwy 311) and Kuihelani Hwy (Hwy 380). The Contractor will be responsible to coordinate and sequence all aspects of construction that could affect landfill operations to ensure minimal impact to access and ability to efficiently carry out landfill operations throughout the construction period. Bidders must be qualified in compliance with Section 103D-310 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. Bidders shall be licensed in accordance to Chapter 444, HRS, relating to the licensing of Contractors and any Specialty Contractors License. chase The Contractor, and his subcontractor(s), if any, shall comply with all applicable revisions of the law relative to the Prevailing Wage Schedule, as required under r Chapter 104. HRS. Project Contract Time is 60 calendar days, where it is critically important to the County to complete the project within the Contract Time. If the work is not completed within the Contract Time, the County shall be entitled to claim liquidated damages as addressed in subsequent sections. If the work is completed in fewer calendar days than the Contract Time, the Contractor shall be eligible for performance incentive payment as addressed in subsequent sections. No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder's security: cash, a cashier's check, a certified check on a bank insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, or a bidder's bond executed by an approved surety insurer, made payable to the County of Maui in the manner, form, and amount required in Section 103D- 323 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. The proposal guaranty shall be equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total of the bid submitted.
