The procurement for the Project involves a two-step process. The RFP Part 1 process will request proposals from prospective Offerors as outlined in the Pre- Qualification of Offerors section of RFP Part 1 (below). After receiving the proposals, an evaluation will be conducted, and based on the results, a list of no more than three Pre-Qualified Offerors will be selected. These Offerors will then be eligible to participate in RFP Part 2 to perform the design-build Project. The RFP Part 2 process will follow the submission and evaluation guidelines specified in RFP Part 2 (below). See RFP section 01390 for further direction. All prospective Offerors must hold a State of Hawai'i professional engineer's license pursuant to Chapter 464, HRS, and a Hawai'i State Contractor's License Type "A" or hold a State of Hawai'i General Building Contractor License Type "8" pulsuant to Chapler 444-7 (c), HRS, at the time of submission of Pre-Qualification Proposals in response to RFP Part 1. lnterested parties requesting to attend the meeting or site visit are required to provide notification of attendance by email to DWS.Enqineerinq@mauicountv.qov at least THREE (3) days prior to the designated date. Proposals must be accompanied by an acceptable form of proposal security in amount not less than five percent (5%) ofthe amount total sum proposal, including additives, payable to the "County of Maui", and in compliance with Section 103D-323, Hawaii Revised Statutes, as amended. Offerors are required to comply with the newest procurement code Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 103D, any rules and regulations and policy directives issued with respect to Chapter 103D, and any amendments thereof. The project involves furnishing all labor, tools, materials and equipment as necessary to perform the following, but not limited to: MINOR MODIFICATIONS TO PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS, DEMOLITION AND CONSTRUCTION OF OFFICES, CUBICLES, BREAK AREA, FLOORING, TNTERTOR WALLS, ELECTRTCAL AND ELECTRONTC (COMPUTER NETWORK CABLE) AND PLUMBING AND OTHER RELATED WORK, in place complete.
