The Town of Nantucket ("Town") is inviting proposals from capable firms or individuals ("Proposer") to offer On-Call Property Maintenance Services for up to twenty-one (21) Town-owned residential properties. The chosen Contractor will provide on-call assistance, emergency repair work, and inspections as outlined in the Scope of Services. The maintenance services may range from extensive long-term coverage to occasional short-term coverage. The Scope of Services provides further details on the Town's requirements for this task. Each proficient Proposer is expected to submit a proposal ("Proposal") in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposal ("RFP") by the given deadline. The Proposer chosen by the Town, according to the terms of this RFP and the Town's contracting procedures, if one is selected, is herein referred to as "Contractor". The Town of Nantucket is located 30 miles off the south coast of Cape Cod. It was settled in 1659 and incorporated in 1671. The Town has an annual year-round population of over 14,000 and approximately 60,000 seasonal residents. The island is 14 miles in length and 3 1/2 miles wide. The Town of Nantucket is within the County of Nantucket. It operates an operated skilled nursing facility, an extensive Public School System and other municipal operations. The Town functions under a Town Manager/Select Board form of government. The Select Board operates under a Charter and enacts policies intended to promote and enhance the general welfare of the Town. Question Deadline 01/30/2025 at 2:00 PM ET Questions concerning this RFP must be submitted via the Question & Answer feature of the online. The Town of Nantucket, through its Town Administration, invites qualified responders to submit proposals for On-Call Property Maintenance Services for the Town of Nantucket. This contract begins April 1, 2025 and expires March 31, 2026. The Town reserves the right to inspect any and all work in progress or completed. Any omission or failure on the part of the Town's representative to disapprove or reject inferior or defective work or materials shall not be construed to be an acceptance of such work or material. If any defective work or material is found during inspection, the Contractor shall remove or repair, at their own expense, such defective work or material rejected and shall rebuild and/or replace same without extra charge.
